This week’s theme: mastering self

One of the major themes I’m picking up this week is the feeling of pressure to follow through. Perhaps you created a resolution that you’re already starting to feel slipping away. Or that you’re being really hard on yourself.

When we lean into these moments with an air of curiosity with a pause rather than criticism, we enter self-mastery.

You can’t stop a train going full speed ahead, but you can apply the brakes.

Same concept.

Sometimes the most spiritual of practices are the simplest ones. Like taking a deep breath, or a pause before reacting or answering.

You’re doing better than you feel, my friend.
