Presence - Weekly Spirit Message 🪶

This week’s theme: presence

The room was loud and bustling, the merry chatter echoing through the crowd of people. Decorative holiday laden walls and tables made the room feel like it was glowing. The food was plenty and abundant.

And here I stood, with a beautiful woman with tears in her eyes, talking about the unthinkable at a Holiday Networking Party: Grief and Death.

Conversations about death and dying have become a common topic in my world since I started my journey towards becoming a Death Doula, and I welcome it with open arms.

Time after time, people open up to me about grief and death. It seems like it’s the one thing that we just can’t seem to talk about freely yet it affects us all.

All we need is the invitation to share.

One thing I’ve come to know during such conversations is the importance of presence.

Whenever we experience anything hard, heavy, confusing, stressful, often we are living outside of the present moment.

When we are present, we can be anchored in truth and light. Everything is perfect in this exact moment. All is as it should be and all is well. (well, for the most part)

Right now, I feel the heaviness of the collective. There’s a lot of things happening personally and collectively that can feel so overwhelming at times.

So I invite you… take a few deep breaths in this moment. Feel where you’re sitting, standing, laying. Notice your feet. Your hands. Your breath.

Trust that you are doing better than you feel.
